On our way back to the hotel we were lucky enough to be able to drive in the opposite direction to the annual St Lucian carnival with music and locals dressed in feathers and sparkles enjoying the celebrations. It was brilliant to be part of it.
Kindly our bus driver agreed to wait while we changed into our beach wear and transported us to the beach. It was brilliant! A giant inflatable assault course in the Caribbean Sea entertained us for hours and once we had had enough we basked on the white sands topping up our tans.
Dinner tonight was tapas with lots of different types of Caribbean foods to try, including seafood cerviche, conch chowder, carpaccio as well as some more traditional things like meatballs and nachos.
